LPN NEEDED FOR LTC FACILITY IN UTICA, NY!
Overview:
We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting with various medical procedures. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and contribute to their overall well-being.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature
- Assist with patient assessments and develop care plans
- Provide wound care and perform dressing changes
- Conduct family planning counseling and education
- Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing, including phlebotomy and venipuncture
- Administer basic life support in emergency situations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications
- Assist with activities of daily living for patients, including bathing, feeding, and ambulation
- Provide specialized care for patients in intensive care units (ICUs)
- Support senior care initiatives and provide compassionate care to elderly patients
8 hour evening shift - 2:30p-10:30p
$1,630/week gross (taxed stipend)
Requirements:
- BLS
- NY LPN License
- 75 MILE RADIUS RULE
- 1 years experience
- must float to all units (same building)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

- 40 bed unit
- Patient populations: MS, ortho, dementia, memory care
- EMR: PointClick Care

Pay: $1,630.00 per week
